Safety Statement -
Carrick on Shannon RC
We wish to advise that the
following applies to all members of Carrick on Shannon Rowing Club and must be
adhered to at all times.
 |
Rowing must always take place
in daylight hours and where crews are departing without the knowledge of
anyone else they must record their departure in the Departure Book which is
provided at the rear of the Boathouse. |

Crews must ensure that the
boat is in good working order and that the heel restraints are fully
functional and the bow ball is in place before departing from the slipway. |
 |
Cosxwains should always wear
a life jacket. |
 |
The First Aid Kit should be
freely available at all times and should be checked at regular intervals
that it is properly stocked. |
 |
Beginner / Novice crews are
to be accompanied at all times and under no circumstances are they to take
out a boat without prior consent and guidance from an experienced member of
the Club. |
 |
Launch Drivers are reminded
that there is a 5kph speed limit within the town boundaries and when they
are outside these boundaries that are to act in a proper and considerate way
to other water users. |
